What would He-Man do?

“Who was your childhood hero?” She asked me.

“There were a lot, the most inspiring one was probably He-Man (Masters of the Universe), and yours?”

“You will lough” she responded.

“Anyway, let me know”

“Sissi!” (Empress of Austria)

We know that these are rolemodels and back in the day we kept dreaming, how they would fight for a better world.

“What would they do if they lived nowadays” I asked.

“For example, if they were in politics?”

Our imagination worked at full speed.

“Sissi would maybe campaign for chancellor of Austria.”

“Which party?”

“Don't know, maybe the green party.”

“If Sissi would run the greens for chancellor the Krnonen Zeitung (Austrian famous tabloid) would love them and the traditional catch-all-parties would really struggle”

*lol*

“...and what would He-Man do?”

“He would run for president of the European Union or the whole universe.” Was my respond.

“...and then he would come to Sissi and say: Look at the wind wheels, Sissi, we could run whole Europe with sustainable energy””

This is just a fragment of a chat I had with a friend a while ago. It provides us lot of stuff to think about and gave us a new approach of seeing things. Without question, lot's of children role models are designed to support the values of our societies we grew up, but what they do is to support us with good attitude. The next time you need to make a decision in your professional or private life, think about this approach. Would your childhood heroes have fear? Would they have doubt? Would they drive profit just for their own advantage? Would they just hand on companies policy or would they question it?” Act like your childhood hero and you will be on the path to become one!

„Wer war dein Kindheits-Held“ hat sie mich gefragt.

„Da gab es einige die mich inspiriert haben, vermutlich hat mich He-Man (Masters of the Universe) am meisten inspiriert. Und wer war deiner“

„Du wirst lachen“ hat sie mir geantwortet.

„Sissi“

Wir wussten dass dies Vorbilder aus Kindheitstagen waren, von denen wir träumten wie diese für eine bessere Welt kämpfen würden.

„Was würden die bloß machen wenn sie heutzutage leben würden?“ Habe ich gefragt.

„Zum Beispiel wenn die in der Politik wären?“

Unsere Vorstellungskräfte arbeiteten auf Hochtouren.

„Sissi würde möglicherweise für das Amt des österreichischen Bundeskanzler kandidieren.“

„Für welche Partei?“

„Hm, weiß ich nicht..., möglicherweise für die Grünen?“

„Wenn Sissi für die Grünen als Kanzlerkandidatin kandidieren würde, würde die Kronen Zeitung sie lieben und die traditionellen Volksparteien hätten es echt schwer...“

*lol*

“...und was würde He-Man tun?”

„Er würde Präsident von Europa, oder vom ganzen Universum werden.“ War meine Antwort.

„und er würde zu Sissi gehen und sagen: „Schau amoi, Sissi, die Windräder! Gonz Europa könntert von nachhaltigen Energien betrieben werden“

Das ist nur ein Fragment aus einem Chat, den ich mit einer Freundin vor einiger Zeit hatte. Er versorgte uns mit jeder Menge Stoff zum Nachdenken. Ohne Frage, zahlreiche unserer Kindheits-Helden sind konstruiert um uns die Werte der Gesellschaft, in der wir aufwuchsen, nahe zu bringen, was sie allerdings tun ist es, uns mit positiver Einstellung zu versorgen. Das nächste Mal wenn du in deinem Berufs- oder Privatleben eine Entscheidung treffen musst, denke nach über diese Herangehensweise. Würde dein Kindheits-Held Angst hanen? Hätte er Zweifel? Würde er nur zu seines Gunsten Profit eintreiben? Würde er einfach die vorgegebene Unternehmenspolitik ausführen oder würde er Dinge auch kritisch hinterfragen? Verhalte dich wie dein Kindheits-Held und du wirst in seine Fußstapfen treten!
